Flat Field Corrections
Open
one or more
images
in
MaximDL
Images must be taken in the
SAME filter
and
SAME binning
From top menu bar, click
Process > Set Calibration
(this opens a new window)
Click on
Source Folder
to add the directory where flats are located
Under
Calibration groups >
pulldown to FLAT
Then
add group
Make sure that you name the filter and be sure that only that row of flats is checked
Under
Group Properties >
Combine type
should be
median
Under
Group Properties >
Click add button
(which opens a new window)
Select ALL the flats in that filter and binning
.
Click OPEN
(that closes the window).
Click OK on top right (this closes the window)
From top menu bar, click
Process > Calibrate (or Calibrate all)
Processed images can only be processed once so be sure to do these steps individually or all as a group
Processed images are not saved automatically. You can save the processed image but
DO NOT OVERWRITE RAW DATA
